Northwestspirits.org.uk is a paranormal investigation group based in Merseyside.We are a newly established group and our aim is to research, investigate, analyse and document any paranormal or unexplained activities. We are looking for new members to join our group who are enthusiastic and genuinely interested in the paranormal. As a member you will be actively involved in planned vigils at alleged haunted locations. Where all the results of investigations will be published on our website.
In a recent visit to Speke hall we took a very interesting trip upstairs into the attic section £3.00. The guide was a very nice guy and was knowledgeable on all the past of the house. It was wonderful to see the priest holes that were so well hidden and spy holes to look out for Cromwell's troops who would have once marched up the path looking for religious people whom may have been hiding there at the
time. We climbed down into a tight hole and I must say if you were a bit on the plump size then you would have had no chance to gain access to the hole via a small cut through. Inside there we were told would have been a small bed with everything you would have needed to stay there for some time until the unwelcome visitors had 
gone. Another priest hole we seen was like a rat run, where the person would have ran through a secret rat run and popped out through a secret door in one of the bedrooms. There they would be able to jump out of the window and make there getaway down to the river Mersey and probably to a boat. Wonderful to imagine
